Cleaning the faces of the fallen
Who pass the Helgrindr
Great Wolf Who Guards the Gate
Whose Tongue cleanses and comforts
The newly-arrived Dead
You lead the good Ancestors to the Gjallarbrú
To greet Their seeking scions
Who wait outside
You herd the harmful Dead back to Hel
Éljúðnir welcomes the wanderers
Whose hearthfires glow warmly
Hail to You Garm, Worthiest of Wolves
Praise and gifts to You, Holy Hound
Hel’s beloved companion!
