To prepare for the ritual work, I first did cleansing work. First, I cleansed by Fire, praying to the spirits of Fire and thanking Them. Then, I took a shower, thanking the spirits of Water for cleansing me inside and out. When I came out of the shower I did stadhagaldr with Ansuz and Gebo, and offered my blood to the Runevaetttir for the work we were going to do. I made an offering to Odin, praying to Him as a Runatyr, the God of Runes, and placed Him back on the Gods’ altar. I went into this feeling very connected to the Runes and to Odin, and ready to do the work. I could feel the Runes with me as I woodburnt each, and I am pleased with how the bindrunes have come out.
This is what the work area looked like prior to putting Odin back on the Gods’ altar. He has an offering bowl in front of Him; the larger orange bowl is the offering bowl for the Runevaettir.
This is what the offering bowl looked like prior to adding water and Mugwort, also known as Una. Nine is a powerful number in the Northern Tradition, and so I offered up nine drops of my blood to the Runevaettir. Mugwort is the Eldest herb in the Northern Tradition, an herb used for offering, cleansing, and consecrating. As with the other Elements, I prayed to Una, thanking Her for Her gifts of cleansing, and consecration. I prayed, thanking Her for being part of the offering for this work with the Runevaettir. Later in the evening I offered George Killian’s Irish Red to Odin and the Runevaettir.
For the actual woodburning I galdred each Rune as I was woodburning It. These are the results. The talismans now sit on my Runevaettir altar, where the work with them will be done each day, barring November 30th-December 2nd when I will be out of town. The talismans will go with me on my trip so I can continue the work.
Each day I will take some time with the talisman. I will start by galdring the names of the Runes burnt onto them. I will then make small prayers to the Rune spirits for the purpose of each talisman. Each week I will offer blood and water. Each week I will offer alcohol, either in the offering bowls or outside, as needed/desired from Odin and the Runevaettir.

Your first talisman made me think of that link. And in the same way as that link resonates with me on a visceral level, your first talisman does, too.
