When someone offers or will offer a prayer to the Gods on behalf of the polytheist, animist, and/or Pagan communities, let it be known that I thank you. I thank you for praying to Gods I may never have the pleasure of serving. I thank you for praying to Ancestors I have never met. I thank you for praying to spirits I have never known. I thank you, also, for praying to the Gods I know, for my Ancestors, and the spirits who share my life. I thank you for praying for things I may never have thought of. I thank you for standing before the Gods, shouldering that weight, and praising Them, offering to Them, doing for Them whatever it is you do. Thank you for those I will never meet who have prayed for me. Thank you for those I see every day that have prayed for me. Thank you all. Let’s keep the prayers going, let them fall from our mouths with reverence, let them fall from our mouths with care, let them fall from our mouths for one another, let them fall from our mouths for our Gods, Ancestors, and spirits. We all are blessed in myriad ways; it does us no good to shield others from that blessing, but it does offer a world of good to share it.
Hail to the Gods, hail to the Goddesses, hail to the Ancestors, and hail to all the spirits who touch our lives.
