I am not Perfect

Put me up on a mountain somewhere, in a little home far away

I am not Perfect

Put me on a pedestal and display me for all to see

I am not Perfect

Cast me in gold and dress me in the finest silks

I am not Perfect

Burn every scrap of me, turn my bones to dust

I am not Perfect

Drink to my memory and remember the good times

I am not Perfect

Write books and sing songs and laugh

I am not Perfect

Hail my Gods and bless my family

I am not Perfect

For I could think of no burden heavier, so I thank all that is Holy

I am not Perfect
